The Project on Offshore Detention on Nauru

Dear kids and friends on Nauru, The Project is a great television news show in Australia. In this piece about Nauru they use sarcasm.
When the piece is finished the man who talks too much and clearly doesn’t understand what it takes to prove that you are a genuine refugee, is not using sarcasm. He’s also not using his brain because asylum seekers cannot get a refugee status based on economics.

Karen Munro I think Steve Price wouldn’t agree even if someone was tortured in front of him. He is either incredibly naive or wilfully ignorant.

Jane McMurray Every time I read about the conditions in which these refugees live, I feel sicker and sicker. I wish the NZ government would follow up on its offer to take at least some of them here, and stop worrying about who they should be negotiating with! Australia and Nauru are both in the wrong – so it’s equally bad to negotiate with either 😦

Kerstin Holata Schuetz I have no words for how shameful our treatment of refugees is. This will be something we will deeply regret one day as a country. I hope that day comes quickly.

Rosalind Kingston-Lee mr Price how much do you get paid to be a mouthpiece for the government? Most of the people have been assessed as refugees and those that have not should be returned to their country of origin not held in detention. Oh I’m sorry it’s an open camp and t…See more
