Keila Waksvik What hypocrisy! And in the meantime people waste away on Manus and Nauru. And Labor is not much better. How do we get change??? When will the Greens finally form government?

Helen Pinchen What a lot of Australians in favour of this don’t realise is that we have taken in ‘refugees’ from the US in exchange for these people so any monetary problem we might have from them, we’ve already got it. Neither do they realise that people are still coming here illegally, they just come by plane. Lastly if these were your friends and relatives treated this way, how would you feel? When we behave in this way towards other human beings it gives others an unspoken license to treat us ( even in different circumstances) the same way. We have lost the moral high ground.

Patsy Skinner Ashamed of my country & can’t believe both major parties are equally responsible for the pain &suffering inflicted on men, women and children over more than four years of detention in horrible, isolated conditions. When will a sense of decency dawn on politicians & the people of Australia? So saddened by the injustice of actions of my country!
